... antique choir seats to imported ceilings and other such art and extravagance!...

After discussing how we would've personally decorated the place we decided to head onwards. Our next stop was Cachuma Lake, 20 miles outside of Santa Barbara this was a strategic choice of campsite so we could be in close driving distance for a certain English pub in Santa Barbara and the game the next day.

... stars.. but it still counted to us! We then endluged ourselves in a desert treat of 'smors' which is an excellent american invention of toasted marshmellows (we got to toast them over our own open fire!) and chocolate sandwiched between some biscuits. Heavenly. After lots of tasty cocktails and some free shots (oh yea) we stumbled back towards home.

We are still getting used to everything being backwards. Like really ...

... lucky we did as it really got heavy. So after washing we had a rest and had an early dinner at Kirsty's Wood Oven& Wine Bar which was joined to the hotel, very fancy ( the Rib Eye steak was $50!) but we had a soup to share and shrimp penne arribiata both really great, so with wine & tip was $155 - just a shame the wonderful view was obscured by the bad weather. There was loads of pasta left over so Peter took it a away & said he'd eat it tomorrow, not sure ...
