This lodge is truly aptly named. The view of the rock formations is wonderful. The restaurant was very good. Breakfast--superior. Rooms were attractive, clean, good beds, wifi, and great service and amenities.

          Very very nice

Stayed here for two nights in the beginning of November. Great hotel! The rooms are very spacious and I loved the furniture. Stay here during your visit to Zion!

Majestic View - Great lodge for Zion and Bryce!

Stayed here recently as the base for our trip to visit Zion and Bryce Canyon. We agree with most of the other reviews and enjoyed our stay very much. We actually booked this room because a room was not available at a couple of the more popular, higher quality resorts in town. But this was a blessing in disguise because this resort appeared to be the newest and nicest in town. Very nice, clean, well appointed rooms with a small balcony overlooking the mountains and canyon walls. Nice, clean bathroom and for a hotel, one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in. The room we stayed in was a standard room with king bed and the only thing lacking that would have been nice touch was a small refrigerator. Otherwise, ammenities were great. Food however, was another matter. Our dinner, while of good quality, was lackluster in taste and presentation. Both entres tasted like a small cut above regular family resturant fare, though the prices were not. An apparent effort to make the meal out to be something more, unfortunately, fell short. Instead, make a reservation at the Spotted Dog (yes, that's correct) in Springdale, were our dinner was more of a gourmet caliber, while the prices, being the same as the Majestic. In fact, the Ahi Tuna with mango and cilantro salsa was one of the best seafood dishes I've experienced. Next, the continental breakfast at the Majestic. Forget it! Cereal, some white bread for toast, juice and a few pieces of fruit. They should forget the free breakfast and just open their resturant for breakfast. Instead, go in town and have breasfast at the Bumbleberry Resturant (yes, that's also correct), were you can start off your day with a stack of fluffy bumbleberry pancakes, or eggs, made perfectly to order. Some of the best bacon I've tasted too. Nonetheless, as for the Majestic, don't let the food influence your decision because you'll get a great room at a great price with a view that's priceless!

          Fabulous Resort!!!

          Fantastic Hotel!!!!

Wow, I had reservations at a resort right in the little city of Springdale, and upon passing the Majestic on the way in, marched in, canceled, and went back to the Majestic to stay there. I used to "rate" hotels for AAA, and my kids think I'm a hotel snob...I'm not but THEY sure are, and they squealed upon entering our VERY beautiful room, with the most awesome upper deck patio overlooking the red rock cliffs (amazing sunsets!). My boyfriend and I dined there that evening and had the BEST filet mignon and a wonderful bottle of wine. Great wild animal museum right there on the premises, wonderful gift shop, and a hot tub and pool overlooking a unique view of the cliffs. Don't waste your time staying anywhere else at ZION, THIS IS IT, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!

          Loved everything about it.

My husband and I were visiting the national parks and we had no reservations, we figured September was a slow time for Zion and Bryce. We ran into a "local" and asked for some suggestions where to stay. Without hesitation they said the Majestic View Lodge. We are forever thankful to this person. We had the best stay ever. ( This hotel was so great, we never made it to Bryce. We stayed for 3 days). They also said to be sure and eat in their Steakhouse and we can not even begin to say how great the food and service was. My husband and I thought that good customer service no longer exsisted, but the Majestic proved to us that this is not true. I would suggest to anyone who is traveling into Zion to stay at the Majestic View Lodge. THANKS to all the people who made our vacation so GREAT!

Great place to stay and eat.

Drove past this place and went into town. Had to come back and stay. It is a great place. The food was good, the rooms looked brand new even though some buildings have been here over a year. The outside looks as though it should be a mountain retreat.

          We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This place is fairly new and we just stumbled upon it while checking out the town. We immediately cancelled our reservations at another motel and it was the best move we made. The personnel were great.... very friendly and informative. There is a restaurant on the site as well as the best wildlife museum I have ever seen. The rooms make you feel as though you are in a mountain retreat, very rustic with real wood furniture. I would recommend this establishment.

          In town, but not.......

The Lodge is on a rise that makes for a most unique view of the Park. The accomodations are above the tree canopy that obscures the center of town. This gives the feeling that you are at the only establishment in the area and all you see are the cliffs and canyons and you get lost in the grandeur. There are views from each room (every one has a balcony that looks up and down the canyon) as well as from the dining room which has gigantic windows that face the Park! My room was very comfortable and the restaurant food was some of the best I have ever eaten.

          Simply MAJESTIC

I travel for a living. The Majestic is the most memorable place I have stayed in years. To get up at sunrise and see the sun come up over the mountains is unforgetable. The rooms are immaculate in their decor and cleanliness.

          I'm going back!

O M G, You have to stay here!

This is one of the most gorgeous places I have stayed in. The rooms are furnished with log furniture and the decor is really refreshing. There was a terrific view from my balcony and I loved the andirondak chairs. There is a pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, wildlife museum, gift shop. You name it and I think they had it, lol. Oh yeah, the continental breaksfast hit the spot. I would definitely come back.

We had an awesome stay at the Majestic View Lodge. Top Notch! Rooms were clean and very well decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also ate in the Steakhose, great meal! I will stay here on all my trips to Zion.

The last hike- going out in style!

... It really is amazing how diverse the national parks and canyons are, all have unique rock formations and all provide several wow moments. We attempted to rate them during our hike but it really is very difficult as they all had that something that set them apart. I think we did agree that Monument Valley is probably number 1 in terms of sights and the Zion hike is number 1 in terms of hikes. All in all though, they were brilliant, stunning and worthy of a return visit.

... boy, it was buzzing, and reminded us of a ski resort hub. Carpark FULL signs confirmed this was going to be a hectic stopover. Then we joined the line of cars to enter the national park!
(An aside, park ranger at entry point rather amused at the magic mushrooms on the side of the van!)
Long story short: NP campgrounds FULL, no worries, let's just enjoy the place and find accommodation later. NP car park, ...
