We were right out on the southern tip of Deer Island. Hard to see on map. The campground there was closed for season but open to passersby to view the tip of island where the currents collide. I'm headed out tomorrow with my parents to Danbury, Connecticut where we will spend the night in Hampton Inn. Then on Sunday we will hang out in the hotel until we drive to JFK where the group flight leaves from. The flight is at 6 pm and is around ...

... also would spend more and more time in Warm Springs, Georgia taking in the waters. His last visit here would be a short one in 1939.

The island contains a few small villages along with some summer homes of the wealthy. There is also a lighthouse - sister to the one at Quoddy Head. This one is visible from the island but only accessible during low tide, something we are already planning on coming back ...
