    ... I went to Golds Gym next door and ordered a smoothie, which was massive and really great! Funny fact is the packages showed a funny little picture and a warning to be a aware of getting a brain freeze, hilarious. On my way to the hostel I stopped at this cute little vegan/ vegetarian food and coffee place I discovered around the corner from the hostel. They were affordable, healthy and the food was great with lots of veggie options. My favourite was their vitality smoothie. Loved it. Had ...

    I forgot to mention in the last entry. As we were driving down the Pacific Coast Hwy, Brad was curiously aware of land marks, bridges, towers, tunnels and so forth. It turns out, the game "Grand Theft Auto" that he plays with mates is loosely set on this strip of coastal highway..
    It is a crisp clear morning, so I've attached some photo's of the view from our house on the hill.

    ... to catch a $5 all-day shuttle to Manhattan Beach, after buying our tickets in the hotel. Across the road from our stop in Manhattan Beach was this place called Paradise Bowls that Velma* introduced us to. They make amazing smoothies and dump a bunch of fresh fruit, goji berries, honey, etc on top. We sat on the beach and killed some time before they had to get back to the hotel to catch the bus to the airport. Velma* will also be coming to the Crown after a week spent at home, ...
