... Artie no longer felt the urge...I said we weren't leaving until he did. No luck...well, not until Artie was bribed with some "Sour Patch Kids" candy. Duties done, back in the car.
We check into our Candlewood Suites room (a nice one at that) at about 7pm. Since it was getting late (in kids speak, that is) we thought it might be better to just go grab a pizza at the Palazzo because it was too late to go to the market and fire up ...
... as we walked. We guzzled the litre we carried and stuck to the small bits of shade we could find.
We drove through to the Artists Palate which was an amazing array of coloured rocks.
Short stop at Devils Golf course to check out the salt pan. Bad Water, the lowest point in the US at 282 feet below sea level, was the hottest spot at 119 F (48 C) about 3pm.

... tea with a snack. My mom swears by the cream cheese danishes there. They're really popular and go fast so if you see them, you should just buy all of them. I kid you not when I tell you we've cleaned out that case a few times of their cream cheese danishes. Every time we go to Vegas we get asked my family members to buy as many as we can right before we have to go to the airport. They also have lovely crepes, chocolates and candies.
... going for an American brunch then probably relax at Kirstines with a BBQ this eve .
The trike is awesome and will get a spin today ,first trip is Monday ,should be acclimatised by then.
Shall be in hotel for 4 nights as more Alexi relatives there tonight till Tuesday ,more vodka!!!!!

... we finally got there. We were lucky enough to time it perfectly to watch the volcano erupt at the Mirage on the way. It was 9:45 when we made the restaurant to be told the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes we made our food decisions quickly. We shared an entree of carbonara mac and cheese and then Regan had Chicken Marsala and I had shrimp spaghetti. They bought us some delicious focaccia bread to start and the food was delicious. Regan had chosen a lovely Italian Pinot Grigio ...
