After driving past dozens more cyclists all riding the highway to LA, we stopped at Morro Bay for a morning dip/wash, before breaking in San Luis Obispo - a lovely little town - where our sole purpose was to find a cafe with internet to book a campsite for tonight in Santa Monica (we had quickly come to realise that, unlike on the Divide, campsites were often full round here). Here are some comments made by Americans I met on my travels through Asia: - Do you have smart phones in the UK? - Do they speak French in Madrid? - Living in France doesn't count as living abroad because all European countries have the same culture. Therefore, I was slightly apprehensive to travel the USA! Luckily, my fears were totally unfounded. As well as being an incredibly diverse and beautiful country, the people are the most welcoming and most likely to go out ...
