... the 49 and as we approached the 120 I started to twitch involuntarily. "Ohmigod ohmigod ohmigod that's high" I said as we looked up at the road that snaked up the mountain side. And yes it was flipping high, and narrow; for a vehicle that is 10 ft wide. AND we were on the right which is the cliff-plummet-to-your-death side of the road.

The highway patrol had come on the scene after a while and work started to introduce order and to make people safe. The police officer's first suggestion was that everyone should pile into our RV as there was certain to be food in there "for a day or two". Fortunately at this point the snow stopped.

standards, but we wanted to do more. The wind picked up and blew
Chris around. For some reason I was ok, but we are thinking it might
have something to do with the fairing, tourpack and/or trailer. He
has it all. Wish we could have taken some pictures a long the way,
but even Mt Shasta was shy today, she was covered in clouds. So the
only picture we have today is our Motel 6 Campround. You can see how
... read, bird watched and just plain relaxed.
Prior to leaving we showered at the indoor shower where the pool is. Actually there were two shower changing areas with toilets separated by the sauna. Kind of a sauna sandwich. The shower offers only hot water, but the good flow made it all the more enjoyable.
We decided to take a little tour before leaving.
