    By no means... how could I? I saw the wonderful vistas available from Pikes Peak, something only Jehovah could have arranged...

    And sunrises and sunsets... this one in Wyoming...

    And a pure oddity, an alkaline lake in which only a certain species of shrimp can survive. This is in the Sierra Nevada, which I drove into en route to Yosemite National Park... but ...

    ... no generator). As we pulled out of the campground there were a few flecks of snow in the air.

    As we reached the Mariposa grove the snow really started to fall, not puffy flakes but solid marbles of snow which covered the ground very quickly.     ... stopped at 438 miles for the day. Not bad by any
    standards, but we wanted to do more. The wind picked up and blew
    Chris around. For some reason I was ok, but we are thinking it might
    have something to do with the fairing, tourpack and/or trailer. He
    has it all. Wish we could have taken some pictures a long the way,
    but even Mt Shasta was shy today, she was covered in clouds. So the

    ... yard - we tried the oranges, quite edible but a little tangy - still need a bit more ripening. Left the lemons alone for now. Melissa had brought over some Texas ruby red grapefruit - they are very delicious and sweet - no sugar needed.

    Lunch and dinner allowed us to reconnect with a couple more of our cousins: Bill and Norman. We didn't get to see Ray or Ron.

    ... br> We all had a great time on the beach, particularly Lucy and Daniel. They are really missing not having a chance to play. We wandered down the beach before chilling out in the sand, while they played in the ocean and in the sand. It was lovely to see so many dogs on the beach with their owners. Apparently, Carmel folk love their dogs......and their owners don't let their dogs poop on the beach!
