HINTON TO BIRCH ISLAND AND ON TO KAMLOOPS
As we prepare to leave in the morning we spot an EVENING GROSBEAK by the wash house. And there is a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER too.
We are definitely in the mountains now. The gentle foothills now give way to rock crags and soaring peaks. Still a fair amount of snow on several of them. The creeks are emerald strands snaking through the valleys. That blue green lake looks like ...

I guess we are noisy neighbours but its always interesting to see ...

This morning we all woke up early ready for horse riding Dylan was very grumpy because he was tired.

Once we all got in the car we set off to Vavenby. It was a whole hour for the journey but when we arrived and saw the horses we all cheered up. We heard chickens clucking in their pen and we saw the horses tied up outside their stable. The french girl working there said there were 14 horses altogether, 12 were girls. Sarah wholes ranch it is sorted us out cowboy ...

    ... for the day.

The Caribou Mountains were south of us as we went east and then west of us as we turned south. We could see the low areas but very few peaks. There was one place just as we turned south that I thought I could get a nice picture of the Rocky Mtn Peaks to our east (where Jasper is), but the ...
