Amazing Catalina Island

... electric fans installed to help stir the air. It was fine.

We left the dock area and drove through the only city on the island, Avalon. This is a tourist oriented town with lots of stores, restaurants, small hotels and bed and breakfast. Chain stores, hotels and restaurants are not allowed by law. The homes are tiny and extremely expensive. There is one grocery store and one gas station. Everything is very expensive here as it is costly to provision ...

... a bag from Celine if you please. I saw a girl with ratty, denim cut offs carrying a Chanel bag. A tall girl with long pin straight blonde hair, long pin straight legs and Christian Louboutin shoes. Glen had a fabulous time watching the cars. I had the lobster again. So far our day had been eating, drinking and people watching. It was fun. As it is our last night in Beverly Hills I wanted to have cocktails at the Beverly Wilshire - you know - the Pretty Woman hotel. ...

The bay here is still a working oil field and you can certainly see higher oil platforms further out to sea. Apparently when the ...

... was layers of different colours of rocks and deep deep valleys. It was hard to grasp the actual size of it as it was sooo huge. Then we saw another plane and it looked like a tiny bird compared to the mountainous canyon. It was so beautiful it left us all speechless. The river through the canyon was brilliant blue and snaked around and formed beautiful lakes that we could see people boating on. After the canyon flight we hit the road for LA. It was a long drive through the desert but ...

Superbowl Sunday!

... the Patriots as most seemed to despise the Seahawks but alas, it was Seattle who led most of the way. Right up until the last few minutes it looked like Seattle had it in the bag but one MAJOR error by their Quarterback ended up costing them the game when his pass was intercepted by the Patriots and put an end to their second Superbowl win. The Patriots ended up winning 28-24 in the dying minutes of the game.

Another highlight was the ...
