... stop, keep going!" Unfortunately I was holding on tightly to my seat, being bumped along, and hadn’t the presence of mind to video the proceedings. Much hilarity all round after we got to back to normal roads.
We reached home just as it was getting dark, between 6 and 7. Another enjoyable day. Doreen has certainly shown us a lot of aspects of the Brisbane area.
... among us. Great cakes here.
Ended the trip by driving up Mount Cout-ha on the outskirts of Brisbane to watch the sun go down, and see the lights come on all over the city. Drove approx 400 kilometers.
Apart from heavy rain overnight on Friday, the weather is equal to the best of Scottish summer weather. Just what we wanted.
Jet lag hasn't been a problem. Just a bit tired at nights.
... is definitely better seeing for real. I’m not quite sure what the amazement is with vast spaces of emptiness like when I was on the Ship over from Singapore and was surrounded by the vast emptiness of the Indian Ocean but I seemed to just spend the day watching the desert go by. At around the middle of the afternoon on the second day we stopped at Cook, population 5! Smack bang in the middle of absolutely nothing are a few buildings where the Indian Pacific stops to refuel and ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia richardlodge... and even more got in my eyes. Most people just starred at me and some laughed. Little did they know how hard it was. Brian was one of the few that didn't eat sand that day. In fact, most people only went once, either because they didn't want to climb the dune again or because they had too much sand in their month the first time. Regardless, it was fun to try.
The ride back to Brisbane was excellent as we got to see the sunset ...
I LOVE KOALAS! So so cute! Spent the day at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and met the cutest little creatures. Trust me to choose the one day that it absolutely chucks it down with rain though!!! Me, the kangaroos and the koalas all got soaked! Very cute though. Brisbane didnt excite me much though. Nice enough town but really nothing to see. Did actually think I was back in London at one point - you go over what looks like ...
Lauantaina lähdettiin kiertoajelulle hop-on hop-off bussilla. Jäätiin vain muutaman kerran bussista pois. Ensimmäinen pysähdys tehtiin Mt ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia miiajussi... instructions on the packaging; · Congratulating ourselves that we were at least staying in a very inexpensive holiday park cabin while we waited out the rain blanketing most of the East Coast of Australia; · Watching movie after movie after movie. This time we took advantage of Video Ezy's "1 new release + 3 weekly movies for $6.50" deal. And to think some of you laughed when we picked up a DVD player for our four months in New ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia elopfamily... pretty much travelled only with each other on the last 30 or so trips.Just when we head off on our own we will see. We fly to Tunis via 2 days in Qatar on the 26th February and will spend about 10 days in Tunisia before we go to Melilla (Spanish enclave in Eastern Morocco) back to Gibraltar and on to Morocco. So there it is and we will get back to our preparations. Phil+Annie
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia hallie... ventetid.
