We spent Friday seeing a few more sights and started packing for our trip back home. (Actually writing this from home.) We visited the Catacombs after a long wait in line. Creepy but fascinating. You also learn about Paris' geological history on your way to the ossuary. We spent some time at the Eiffel Tower and surrounding area. On the Champ de Mars, by the tower, people were spread out on the lawn watching a big screen ...

... I ever have the chance. The thing that makes travelling so special is that you learn things that no one could ever teach you no matter how hard they try. The best experiences I had were real life ones, not related to school at all, but I never would have experience that if I did not LIVE IN ROME for an entire month!

Would we have enough time. Well by the end of it, maybe it was too much time. Very productive though. I needed a little nap when we got back to prepare for our ...

I leave the continent tomorrow. For four months. I am trying to put into words my feelings right now. I'm sad, scared, anxious, ecstatic! It just feels so unreal, after all the packing and planning and preparing that this is actually happening. I've dreamed about studying abroad for years, and within the past 6 months, my dream has come to fruition. My mind has gradually prepared me for this moment...I know this because it's all I can think or talk ...

... I also was, of course, excited to be going, but also still not really believing that this was actually happening. I was also trying to picture what Tim's reaction would be once I surprised him.
The driving went smoothly and we made it to the airport in good time (it seemed like we got there so fast!). I grabbed my stuff and we found my check-in line. Dad took a picture with his i-pad and I went through. The process was also fairly simple with no problems. Dad had ...
