... for India! First lesson: plan your visa/everything way in advance, especially for bureaucratically burdened countries like India.

I have spent the night checking my list, and checking it twice - not the naughty or nice list, my packing list. I repacked my suitecase into a sweet 70 liter traveling backpack that my buddy Max let me use for this trip - thanks, Max!

... stop I would go to had a sign saying that no bus was stopping there because of road closures in the downtown area. Thanks to Google maps I eventually did get to a bus stop that had my number on it. I was really lucky cause I got on JUST as the driver was about to pull off from the kerb! ... all night, ahh great sleeping sounds. Today we went to The Landing - Minneapolis River Heritage Park. It is living history museum depicting life in the Minnesota River valley from 1845-1889. We enjoyed looking through the original and reproduction buildings from that era. Tomorrow it is the paddle boat ride on the Mississippi and a look at Minnehaha Falls in downtown Minneapolis.

We took a bracing walk over the Mississippi, sadly the locks werent operating but it was a great sight. Sadly, time to go to the airport came too soon, more hugs and kisses. Kids were shouting ByeBye Kiwis as they drove off.
Several hours of flight tedium later we were back in NYC. Bed at 1am.
