... down there, but not too misty just yet. It didn't hold off long though. The closer we got to the Horseshoe falls, the windier and wetter it got. We were absolutely drenched, but it was well worth it, as the boat went right up within metres of where the river dropped over the edge. I don't think theres a way of getting a better view.

When we pulled back in, we dried ourselves off and had a quick look in the gift shop and then on the viewing platform, where Dave had a ...

... to do (i.e. theater for shows and many restuarants) but didn't have time to partake in any of that. Supposedly, the falls light up at night which I saw pictures of and probably worth an overnight stay. Getting in and out of Niagara was not bad at all. It was pretty much a straight shot from Toronto. Getting out of customs was a breeze and picked up a rental in no time and before I knew it, I was on ...

... 4 or 5 stops on the way so the trip wasn’t too bad at all. We arrived at Niagra Falls Station a little after 11am and got a taxi to our hotel and received a bit of a verbal “Cook’s Tour” about Niagra Falls … probably hoping for a huge tip.

He told us there had been some excitement this morning as someone had fallen into the water and the Fire Brigades had all raced to the scene but no idea if the person survived the fall or not. ...
