Well I arrived late and needed a bed. The rooms aren't brilliant but it's conveniently near food, beer, and petrol. So it did the job

        24 Hours from Tulsa

Now today I wanted to make it to Tulsa. This was a big ask knowing how the road crosses over and under the I-40 and I had Amarillo to ride through.
The other problem is as soon as you cross into Texas you lose and hour out of your day.
The towns through Texas are, either making the most of 66 or, like ghost towns.
        The views are great …

First day on the road.....pulling double trailers....in 35 mph winds gusting to 40 mph in the Flint Hills of Kansas....speed limit 75 and I'm going 58 trying to conserve fuel and hold her on the road....9 hours and 3 tanks of fuel later, I made it to the Cimmaron RV Park in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Hope tomorrow isn't this challenging....will feel good to get parked in Snyder, Tx tomorrow and see Miss Cassidy ...

So stealing her thunder on her Big Day will be the very last thing one would want to do, regardless of how much better they think they would look within the bride\'s dress. If it is definitely an outdoor wedding, then a knee-length dress works beautifully. Cover the baby using a towel ...

When I did a search on Food Network's "On The Road" App for places to eat on our trip, The Rock Cafe in Stroud stood out because it listed some German dishes I knew we'd enjoy :)

It did not disappoint in "Historic Rte 66" cuteness or yumminess. But, we need to start finding some places that specialize in healthy salads soon ;)

We stopped in Oklahoma for the weekend to spend time with Jenny and Camron (Tj's sis and bro-in-law) ...Zoe is so happy to be in a home around people who love her and not just a hotel! Camron is helping her play the piano and I think that is her new favorite hobby! We went to see a movie (Tommorowland was amazing)
