We spent our first night of our adventure quietly and uneventfully at the Truckee River RV Park. The next day we travelled on Hwy 50, the Loneliest Hwy in the USA. This Hwy is very well named. We practically had the two lane hwy to ourselves as we passed through the vast valleys between mountain ranges that is characteristic of the Great Basin area.

Today the fearsome 16 + one journeyed down into the Great Basin of Nevada. On their way to the location of a former pony express stop in the 1800's. There is reported to be a decent burger joint with dollar bills tacked to the ceiling. We'll see if I get a few photos from them and I will update this day . ...
