    Farewelled the family and set off east towards Salt Lake City. Drove around Carson City, Nevada state capital. Noted that the road sign "fresh oil" actually means freshly laid bitumen.

    Today was a better day. Earlier start, only partially lost, dropped the bike once and had enough foresight to make a reservation ahead of time at our destination. We’re getting better at this… slowly but surely.

    Today the fearsome 16 + one journeyed down into the Great Basin of Nevada. On their way to the location of a former pony express stop in the 1800's.
