... in the late 1700's, 1800's and early 1900's. There were artisans in period dress demonstrating sewing, blacksmithing, and woodworking and a lovely 91-year-old WWII veteran talking about his experiences as a farmer in the area and flirting shamelessly with me. The weather was cold but that meant we encountered few other visitors and so practically had the place to ourselves.

Around 12:30 we left for what ...

... Alls well that ends well.
Today we started our drive from Magnolia and I took some pictures of the cool murals around the town. On our drive south we stopped to take a picture of Tom beside a sign that said we were doing the Camino, just for Tom's sister Pat. She did the actual walk in Spain several times so it just seemed to say take my picture LOL.

Day 3 Headed out later after doing an hour of yoga and and hour of meditation.I made a goal of Baton Rouge for today and spent the day winding my way along the Mississippi River. I tried several times to actually see the river up close but there is a dyke all the way along it to keep the river in its place and so that the rich fertile lands of the floodplain could be used to grow cotton. There were signs to not go onto the ...

We continued our trip south today towards New Orleans and we were a little wary of the day ahead as there had been a number of weather warnings. The day was grey and gloomy and we decided to stick to the Freeway for the drive to Vicksburg which was to be our stop for the night.

The drive there was interesting and we even had a truck pass us with a dead deer in the back. Also all along the road were firework tents where you could purchase you ...

I have absolutely NOTHING to say. Today was a boring day of driving. We decided to forgo Beale Street and Graceland as really bad weather was predicted for Memphis and after seeing news this evening it was a good choice. We are now south of Jackson MS other than that I have not a clue where we are. The computer filled in the location above. Working our way home. See you soon..........
