... from 11-2. Today’s special was red beans and rice with layered salad (yeah, the same kind we take to covered dish meals), and jalapeņo corn bread (not too hot, just right). Homemade pies for dessert are to die for. Jim had chocolate meringue and Barbara had a half slice (they actually sell half slices) of coconut meringue. Yum-yum!!!!

... home by way of the Trace. About every 15 miles or so, there was a farmer who also opened his home as an inn to travelers. It was estimated a man could walk 15 miles in a day. One such inn still exists at Mount Locust.

Along the Trace there also is an Indian ceremonial mound at Emerald Mound. The part that reminds covers 8 acres and is 35 feet high. There is a mound on top of the mound that is ...

I have absolutely NOTHING to say. Today was a boring day of driving. We decided to forgo Beale Street and Graceland as really bad weather was predicted for Memphis and after seeing news this evening it was a good choice. We are now south of Jackson MS other than that I have not a clue where we are. The computer filled in the location above. Working our way home. See you soon..........
