    ... 11.30am at the old mill. This was used in the opening of gone with the wind. Stunning location for lunch, by far the best lunch location so far. Turquoise water, old fashioned brick mill, lush green grass and quirky wooden bridges. Much need lift today with long van journeys that we have today.     good meal. When we emerged from the restaurant it was raining heavily, and it continued to rain all afternoon and late into the night. It rained a total of 7 inches today, and the creek in back of their Sue & Al’s home rose several feet, flooding the lower part of their property.

    Travel Day



    Leaving Vicksburg we headed west on I-20 across Louisiana
    to Shreveport, and from there we headed north on US 71 into Arkansas and our
    destination of Mena Arkansas. We arrived
    at our good friends, Sue and Al, home late in the afternoon. After an enjoyable dinner at a local restaurant
    we spent the evening catching up on what has happened since we last saw them.
