First experience of South Island - Nelson area
A rainy start to the South Island but all brightened up when we arrived at the home of Fiona and Rob, the owners of the apartment we had rented. Their house sits on the Kina Peninsula with stunning views of the estuary with snow-capped mountains on the horizon. They had moved to NZ 16 years ago and took great care of us during a our few days in the area.

Walk in the park
... we considering going kayaking in the National Park. However we decided against it as we fancied going for a walk through the Park instead. It was a lovely day and it was good to get out and stretch the legs and get some exercise. That evening we headed to a local pub to watch Samoa and South Africa which was a cracking game.
Today we travel into Nelson and then get the ferry across to Wellington.
