... It wasn't as good as home, but it was exactly what I needed! Perfect road trip food! A few more hours on the road, and we made it into Wichita, Kansas. When we left Houston, it's was sunny and 95 degrees. In Wichita, it's night and 59 degrees. Looks like I'm going to bust out the jeans tomorrow! We will have about six more hours to Denver before we meet up with another high school classmate for a weekend of Broncos ...

... of all the parks we have been in on this trip so far. It is almost full (we got the next to last site) of workers who are here for various jobs. It is fine, but a working camp RV park just doesn't have the same feel as a park that is mainly for those of us who are passing through. John is out (again!!) washing Muf's face...and oh, yes...the temperature when we pulled in here was (Ta Da!!) 98 degrees! Yikes!

We drove 195 miles ...

Once again, Larry writes today.

Today we headed north to Wichita, KS. In contrast to the park in Thackerville, OK, the one in Wichita was pretty new. Lots of concrete, not much in the way of trees. It sorta felt like we were camping on an airport runway. Good laundry, showers, and restrooms. (Hey, those things are important!)

... which we were thankful. There were fields with lots of beautiful cattle and, since we are rapidly approaching what is considered the west, many horses.

Since today was a travel day, we really didn't do anything all that exciting although we have had an excellent time. Once we reach South Fork and meet up with our children, we will slow down the milage and hopefully have some exciting adventures to share.
