Hello Wally World... 6:40am (CT): Wichita, Kansas. I'm up making coffee in the Walmart parking lot. We ran the generator all night and one AC unit to keep the MH cool. We will have to get moving soon because Walmart doesn't allow you to stay in their parking lot during normal business hours.

We have moved from the cold of the mountains to a heatwave in Kansas and boy has it been a shock! To make life a bit harder, we've had strong winds blowing every day. When the road turns even a bit southwards, these evil winds seem like howling headwinds. Everybody has been a bit sunburned and we've chugged down water, but it's been hard going. ... after stopping to grab some dinner before dashing south to Wichita to position for Friday.

I'm really pleased with my choice of camera, The GPS locks on really quickly, which will tag all of my photos with a position and the remote is also good to play with, meaning that I can fire off shots while watching the storm, and not being stuck behind the eyepiece. it's a Nikon 5300 and it's really doing the job along with the Tripod I bought.
