It's the start of our road trip. First stop is Wichita, Kansas. We headed off on our adventure at 1pm after shopping at Michaels, Petco, Walmart and Target in Omaha. So, here's the deal. From Oklahoma, we were all set to head to California, and all the states in between. But, frankly, we were getting tired of the 100+ degree days (about 40 degrees C) with no end in sight. So, a new plan was hatched. We decided to head north to Kansas to get to Colorado and the Rockies. Surely, the mountain air would be cooler, and a welcome relief.

... Six months ago, I never knew this connection.....in God's time it finally happened! Also loved sharing stories of visits to these towns when I was a young girl. Especially the uncle I was scared to death of who always said he would flush me down the toilet if I didn't behave!! Will have to show Gavin a picture of him when we return home! I always thought he was scary looking!! More thoughts after returning home ...
