... a covered bridge to the water hazard surrounded green (see photo below), Bob managed another typical stunt shot. His tee shot settled beside a nail, flat on the wooded ties bordering the water. Being a lefty gave him a break getting onto the green from that. Laughs were had by all. Then on the green of the next hole, not to be outdone by trick shots, I proceeded to do the exact thing. Only there was no nail stopping my ball. It just sat teetering on the wooden water's edge. ...

... can use the sun's energy to make sugar which becomes food for the fungus. The fungus absorbs water and nutrients from the soil and air for the alga. Who knew -- totally fascinating! And as you can see from the last picture, Sassy and Odie are totally at home in our trailer -- we have two recliner chairs and they have each claimed one! Oh well -- it's much better to have happy kitties than mad ...

... order Fresnel lens is still in use today, and is maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard as an active aid to navigation. We were also able to spend some time with one of Dan's nieces and her husband, Kim and Rob Carroll, who live near Pensacola in Pace, FL. A fantastic day, but we were both tired by the time we got back to our trailer -- guess we're not as young as we think!
