    Labour Day Monday so off to the beach for the weekend. Saturday morning up bright and early 6am, think it will take about 3hours �� We stopped of at Apsley falls on the way, Mat nearly stepped on a echidna walking down the steps he's never ran so fast hahaha So we hit the forest and had been warned that it got very windy........     Coffs ... hmmm ... no wonder the Big Banana is lying down.
    Back on the Pacific Highway and on to Coffs Harbour on a “newly” constructed Pacific Highway. We arrived in Coffs Harbour around 4.30ish and although the “Big Banana” was recognisable, not much else was !!

    ... Following signs to the Tourist Info Centre, said it was in 4 kms, although we seemed to be in the middle of town. So we followed the sign anyway, and eventually found it - yes, 4 kms out of town. By this stage we had had enough, and decided to push on.

    We drove past Forster and Tuncurry as George informs me we had been there before. I really don't remember, but OK, I'll take his word for it. We pushed on to Port Macquarie. Now we have definitely been there ...

    ... dragging myself from the covers I took a walk down to the supermarket, caffeined and nicotined up, to do some food shopping. After making myself an exceedingly large lunch of beans and scrambled eggs on toast I made the long walk to the towns Koala hospital where I was due to meet Chloe and Chris.     ... way along the coastal track - which I'd actually heard of before arriving and was planning on walking! He very kindly cooked me a yummy omelette, corn on the cob and jacket potato for tea and we sat up chatting for quite some time.
