... a delicious stir fry which was lovely. Then I was surprised with a birthday cupcakes which were so cute and a rendition of happy birthday and a tiki hut birthday card which I love. Betina and Sofia bought me some chocolates and some Asti. I was really touched by it all and had a lovely chilled birthday on the beach which is my favourite place to be in the whole world. We also played pin the tail of the donkey which ...

... cool in the temperature sense but as we came down by the lake it warmed up and we could spend the rest of the day driving with the roof down at around 50mph, anything faster and it’s too noisy/windy.

... of the recent fires, though we did see a few spots here and there that were burnt out. The 395 heading north to Lake Tahoe is a very pretty drive and very easy too. There are a lot of beautiful little towns along the way and the climb up to Tahoe is spectacular. These roads that climb up mountains are amazing to us as we just don't have anything like them at home. We came into Tahoe across the stateline from Nevada, which is littered with casinoes and casts ...

... you bouncing about. At top speed they do about 50mph. With 3 onboard and a few waves, i was told 45mph was more likely (I never looked at the speedo), but when we fully opened it up it felt like about 200mph! Certainly enough to get your pulse racing hard and for the SeaDo to 'get some air'. With T sandwiched between me and W, he tended to be the first to call for us to slow down, but even the little thrillseeker confessed nerves at times D would of ...
