We decided to go to Tahoe using a Worldmark deal. We stayed the night in El Dorado with Robin on December 29th to help break up the drive. We left bright and early to drop JT off at Heavenly daycare and we went boarding. Well we happened to go on a day where it's Tahoes coldest and windiest. We only did a few runs because only 2 lifts were opened, Stagecoach and comet. The visibility was so bad and he wind was worse. When there was a gust of wind, it was impossible to see. It ...

It was our last hurrah with Cathy and Gary and after sad good-byes we bid our friends adieu and a safe journey ...

... kids via shuttle bus (she's a champion) because they're not yet ready to ski runs over mountain. All did well on lessons. Siobhan and Hamish completed all their levels and now do nice parallel turns. Allowed Daddy and daughter to do some runs together after lessons and lunch. Poor Hamish suffered another migraine and had to finish early. Snow glare and altitude having an effect. Mother and big son elected to head down mountain after their lessons ...

Legs were a bit stiff this when I woke this morning, mot surprised after the Mt Tallac hike yesterday, so decided for a less strenuous hike with nice scenery, Lake Aloha trail. Scenery was great, you spend a good part of the hike with views of beautiful lakes, mountains with some snow still on the, or through woodland. The trail was fairly flat with a couple of steep sections which was fine, only complaint was the amount of stones on the trail, ...
