    ... missile in the silo was a training missile, so obviously not live. It was large, buried deep down into the ground. There were pipes that lead to the surface that used stars to align the guidance system as a part of scheduled maintenance. Such an amazingly old system that worked and gave the missile an accuracy radius of one mile. Tour over I walked the site and took a few photos. Then off to old Tucson.
