Exhausted from the travel we went to bed for the night and slept really good. I bet this was the first time in a long time that my sister was able to sleep in until 9am (she has 3 kids - 6, 3 and 1 year old). We then got dressed and braved the cold 60 degree temperature (we are from Phoenix where that is December weather) and went to breakfast. We took a little ride South of Las Vegas today in order to view the Hoover Dam. A pretty awesome engineering feat that many sacrificed their lives in order to build. A few pics offered for those viewing this blog.

Next stop...San Francisco, but we have to contend with a slight issue - LUGGAGE and lack of space. We've already cranked open a second bag each, though we still might go over in weight. Oh well, if we have to wear it on board to avoid paying excess luggage then that's what we'll do. ...

Even though Motel 6s aren't known for being the nicest motels, this was a cool one. It had your typical flashy Vegas sign, and modern rooms that made you feel like you were in Vegas. For $30 a night, it did the trick for a one night stopover
