... had nothing to do really, I walked in the garden, saw the raspberry bushes, a lovely tree house, a little pond with fish, the lawn where the dogs love to play around... A little paradise!

I so much enjoyed to be part of a family, everybody around the breakfast table in the morning, the funny Corki dogs, the cat that comes to sleep on my bed, and seeing my old friend Phil after so many years.

Tomorrow I take my Amtrak train to Montreal, next visit!

Troy Federal Lock was the only one without hanging ropes, we had to loop our lines around a pipe instead. After the last lock we hit tidal waters.... time to pay attention and plan our runs accordingly from now on. It was interesting to pass through the bigger cities of Troy and Albany, and for me it was fun to see Albany from a completely different point of view! After Albany's shipping yards ...

Lush perennial, annual, and herb gardens, designed in the early 20th century, give a delightful view into the colors, fragrances, and designs popular during America's estate garden era. Picturesque and productive orchards border the estate, and in season the delicious fruit is available at the Montgomery ...
