We found our beachside campsite in Hiawatha Park of Lake Michigan just ten miles or so after crossing the Mackinaw Bridge. We are on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. ... of St. Ignace to get a look at the Mackinac Bridge. The fog was too thick to see the bridge when I biked past it earlier. I was thrilled to see the longest suspension bridge in North America, it is 5 miles long, spanning the Straits of Mackinac, connecting the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan since ...

Surly and I left The Star Motel under cloudy skies this morning, traveling on good old Route 2. My breakfast of cold oatmeal was just sticking to my ribs as I peddled through Gulliver, thinking about Maura's plan to return to the Three Season's Cafe and have homemade pie ...
