Yep - The good old NZ bill got me again, 118 kph in a 100 kph limit, 180 dollar fine - Thats a hat trick of tickets in less than 24 hours - Back of the net... Now that HAS to be a record !!! AND all accumulated in a bloody Toyota hatchback.
Every bloody crossroads and laybye in this country seems to have its very own traffic cop, all sat there with a fully loaded laser gun - I'm sure they all radio ahead to their mates letting them know I'm on my way.
Anyways, last night turned out ok, ...

... deet repellent. However, it wasn't until yesterday, when covered literally from head to foot I sought the advice of a hostel employee who confirmed it was in fact bed bugs.
Of course, the hostel we are staying at in Queenstown in as close as you're going to get to five star living when sleeping in a bunk bed. It has a sauna, amazing living room with log fires and hairdryers and straighteners in the bathrooms. It also only opened two months ago, and ...
An amazing two hour drive from Mount Cook is the tourist capital of New Zealand with everything to suit your adrenaline needs from skydiving to bungy jumping. It's a large town situated in between the lake and mountain with lots of bars, shops and restaurants. We spent a couple of days here chilling out, eating at the cafes and taking in the scenery. On our final night we booked tickets to go up the mountain on the ...

Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand stretchy_24... German (name unknown) belongs to an asylum. Largely ignored I try to include him in conversation by asking how he is going - "Whatever" is his reply. I give him the look - you know - the "Are you seriously being a **** look or is it just that you don't speaka the english very well" look. So I slightly rephrase asking him if he enjoyed his dinner - all at a priest's homily pace - i.e. very slow. Again, "whatever" - this time with a tut and roll of the eyes ...
Wanaka, South Island, New Zealand codownsean... who had control of my life decided when they would let me go. They are so cruel. First they're like "oh I think the rope is smoking" "wait, that buckle isn't done up properly", and once you've jumped, they're like "OH WAIT! ****! NOT YET!" It's all such an act...*******s. Nah, they're a great bunch of guys who are so funny. hahaha. But I got my dvds and my pics, so I cannot wait to show everyone at home! Tomorrow I think I'll go around town once more, then I'll be off to Wanaka!!
Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand nicki_gramlich... is a total bargain!!! I love them.
It was too cold to do anything else, it snowed and everything, we did head out for a few drinks across the road though - but I wasn't really feeling it so I left pretty early.
Friday 30th
Today I did more than I have done on any other day here - after a really lovely breakfast, Tara and I trudged over to where you book the buses.
It was ...
... though, like one of them things that happen in East Park, I had a good time though and the fireworks at the end were good, I did have to spend the whole time on my own though as Tara was not back from skiiing at Cardrona or wherever she went. I'm moving hostels yet again in the morning, back into town to the other YHA, so I went home after all the excitement and put stuff back into my bag. I LOVE QUUENSTOWN!!! I could fully live here forever and be super happy!!!
Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand sam.bewitching... was an earthquake at 7.1 on the Richter scale, that, after the realisation dawned that it was not actually the effect of Kava or alcohol, sent people pooring out of the house or hiding beneath beds and tables. Quality! Thanks guys for coming. We could not have wished for a better party. It was terminated by God unloading his rage leading to several gaping holes in the hallway. Lord almighty! (Had a call from Steve from accomodation- he not happy...)
To everybody ...
