Empty Nesters...

We drove into some rain this morning. Rain has such a negative affect on our moods. So we put on some CDs and sang through the rain. Thankfully we brought all our CDs with us so we have quite a few to choose from. Long Day on the Road
... all interstate was somewhat boring so its good we didn't bother to get off the interstate except for three fillups of gas each at a more expensive price per gallon. Needless to say we did not even go into the town of Alexandria but quickly went to sleep to be ready for the next day's ...
First stop - Arrowwood
... The kids spent most of their waking hours in the water. I (Steve) got to golf, run, and accompany the kids to the water park. Leah hung out at the beach with the kids, ran every day, and got to spend time with her mom and sister. And we all watched a lot of Olympic coverage.

Dogs, Signs & Dehydration
... them to my rescue earlier in the day, but at least I was finished - and finished I was - even the receptionist at the Super 8 motel took pity on me. He suggested I go and have a shower and lie down and check in later when I felt better!! I felt bad, but clearly looked worse! Fortunately there was a super mkt across from the motel so I stumbled across there a little later and devoured a rotisserie chicken and other fresh delights in my room before collapsing at 7.30 to bed.
