      Lake Tahoe Getaway 2014

A travel blog entry by devrst1 on Oct 02, 2014

I have not been to Lake Tahoe for over 10 years and I am still at awe how beautiful the Lake was.
We did a scenic tour to Emerald Bay and the views is breathtaking. I can stay there all day just enjoying the God Creation.

PostScript from yesterday's blog. Jason thought a spa bath before bed would be nice. But, left the tap on and flooded bathroom and bedroom. Took 12 towels to clean up. Not sure what the maid cleaning room made of that. Anyway, bath was nice.

Better day today getting to and from slopes, know the ropes now. Jason took a lift from near lodge to get in some early runs on fresh groomed snow, then skiied to other side of mountain for his lesson. ...

Legs were a bit stiff this when I woke this morning, mot surprised after the Mt Tallac hike yesterday, so decided for a less strenuous hike with nice scenery, Lake Aloha trail. Scenery was great, you spend a good part of the hike with views of beautiful lakes, mountains with some snow still on the, or through woodland. The trail was fairly flat with a couple of steep sections which was fine, only complaint was the amount of stones on the trail, ...
