10 August, 2001 with a return on 15 August,2001. Also hiked here 2003 and on several other ocassions. Best time to visit is summer, at least for me. Brrr, it's cold

... back to the room to sort him out.

All sorted and we head back out and decide to check out the shops. We wandered in and out of various shops to check out their wares but often it was to escape the cold. We have since found out that the weather is unusually cold, it got down to -32C overnight and -15C during the day. On our last day it warmed right up to a balmy -5C, you could almost break a sweat!
