We thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay at the Lake Park Resort. Very quiet with a friendly staff.

    Disney - woot!

A travel blog entry by misneach on Sep 08, 2014

Today we explored the Disneyland park.
Started out with California Adventure - and we wondered around enjoying the commitment to the experience. As with Megan's last visit it was a gentle reminder that yes, these parks whilst able to be enjoyed by adults, they really are for families to go to! Lots of little kiddy rides and experiences. But, still the atmosphere is pretty spectacular.

We had truly become vagabonds. Living a care free life away from the rat race was refreshing. As I write this journal we have no idea where we will be in September. For most, that would be a very scary proposition but for Carmen and I.......... We wouldn't want it any other way!

... at that time, which was really nice. We started in Buena Vista Street and did a loop of the park, starting with the Soarin’ Over California ride! Kezzer, me and you did a version of the Soarin’ ride in Epcot! (I think that one was Soarin’ Over the World). It’s basically a simulated flight over loads of different areas of California. We saw some places we’d been to, including LA, San Francisco and Yosemite (went over Yosemite Falls and saw Half-Dome – ...

    ... Mexican restaurant called
“Tortilla Jo’s”. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican
food. The staff was very friendly and the food was great! After dinner we
watched the fireworks and then headed back to our hotel to go swimming.

Thank you everyone for following along on
my Cali Adventure. Stay tuned because I see more shopping and Mickey Mouse in
    my future.

From the Haunted House, on towards Critter Country. It was close by, and Splash Mountain sounded fun. Well it was fun, but not the aftermath. We both came off the ride looking like we suffered from wandering bladder syndrome. Soaked, from waist to toe, my jeans clinging to my legs and shoes squelching with every step. Next we waddled through Winnie the Pooh, Pinocchio, Mr Toads Wild Ride and Rodger Rabbit. With our ...
