After a week of road trip and sleep deprivation, yesterday I touched down in Dallas, TX, for a stay with my relatives, Chris and Gladys. We made a stop in Mineola, Texas . . . in what appeared to be a bit of a worn out town. I snapped a picture . . . with three stores on a main street . . . "Vintage Charm," "Taste of Italy," and an old hotel "Beckham Hotel Coffee Shoppe!" They have a certain 'charm,' but I doubt it is everyone's cup of tea (or coffee!).
Our first time at this Thousand Trails park, about an hour and a half northeast of Dallas. It's pretty much the middle of nowhere, but really a relaxing place to spend a week or so, with our site backing right up to the water, and views of incredible sunsets every night.
