Sad day leaving the beautiful Grand Canyon but looking forward to our next adventure. Uh oh, battery died to the RV generator, had to make a pit stop at O'Reillys Auto Parts In Page, AZ. (Also Walmart) In 123 dad has it out, replaced & had us on the road in less than an hour. So impressive :) We lunched together in the RV, so ...

... I did present Chris with the bill while she was still on her main course just to keep her on her toes. I realised this afternoon that we'd been operating for the last day and a half with the wrong time as this part of Arizona is 8 hours behind the UK not 7. As if I haven't got enough to cope with. The park itself is tight and full but it is only one night. You ...

... It was a nice start to the day, especially as the hoards of tourists were still safely tucked away in bed – most definitely our favourite part of the day and worth the early start. On the grand canyon, it’s crisp and windy but so tranquil.

We came back to the hotel for breakfast which was quite chaotic in a small breakfast room with people fighting for a table and space on the bread toaster! Needless to say it was nice to have ...

Navajo National Monument was established to preserve three Ancestral Puebloan People's cliff dwellings in northern Arizona. We chose to stay here because the camping was free and it put us close to Monument Valley. Monument Valley is the place you picture when you hear the words, "the American west," or “Marlboro.” It has been made famous by being featured in many films from the 30s onwards. The day we arrived at Navajo NM it was ...
