On arrival in Hollywood we were welcomed by two guys that announced 'welcome to Hollywood' as we came out of the subway to the main strip of Hollywood, our home for 5 days. It was such an amazing feeling stepping out onto Hollywood boulevard right were all the stars of celebrities line the street.There were acts and djs playing all down the street with a multitude of bright lights. Then we spotted our hostel right across from the subway ...
... over to the skateboard bowl, and was entertained for ages watching the incredible skills of the skaters. One of the biggest bowl complexes in California, it had different levels of complexity and there were some amazing skaters. One guy didn't have a skateboard, but rather two very small platforms with kind of, in-line skate wheels on them. He simply stood on these and over the edge of the bowl he went... ... the experience was worth every cent. The Dodgers won 6-3 and we booked it out of the stadium to beet traffic, which was actually amazing. As soon as the game ended, we were out of our seats, in the car, and on the highway in 10 minutes! Golf claps for the Dodgers stadium parking team.

At the top there’s a National Park Centre, shop and restaurant as well as some amazing views back into the San Bernardino Forest and down into Palm Springs. We got drinks and enjoyed the scenery. There was another viewing area that was accessed by metal stairs which was even more impressive.
... and fries the place had gone from next to no-one being in there to being packed for the game. A 'swarm' of locals had descended onto the place and grabbed any stool or chair to see the big game!
Seeing as I was in the USA, I felt obliged to stay and watch the Superbowl game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. Despite not really understanding the game it was such a spectacle to watch. Just about everyone in the Bar were ...
