Up even earlier today - the pain!! Had done most of our packing beforehand but Jordan had one of his infamously well timed blood noses which gave us a minor-ish delay. Breakfast good ol' vegemite biscuits slash scones. We had our final information overload of Space history (today was about the shuttle program) & then got to see how much of this info we'd retained with a Jeopardy type game called 'Space Bowl' ...

... bored so decided to do his own kind of unprotected spacewalk. Speaking of unprotected, Jordan was looking at a big map of the US & mispronounced Virginia... After an early dinner we found our rocket launch was cancelled due to a storm coming in so we partied on aka history lesson about Gemini & Apollo missions & then Commercial Space travel. Massive day, we're tired - not sure how the kids are keeping it together. Anyway a sneaky drink before bed & onto graduation ...

Checking in we were presented with our high fashion family camp t-shirts & then went up to our third floor bunkhouse. The bunkhouse sleeps six but thankfully each family has their own - ...

Our first full day & I take them across state lines into Tennessee - straight to Jack Daniels Distillery!! There must've been a corvette convention in town as there were at least 20 in the parking lot! We felt the bittersweet taste of having a dream ripped out from under us! They were having a sampling tour for only $10 per person, but alas we couldn't sample as our little cherub was under 21. Sigh. So we took the free non-sampling tour ...

We got up late after a fitful sleep! Headed off to the Nasa Space Center. Amazing history of space travel and lots of fun things for the kids. A real live space shuttle on site, gives perspective on its immense size and the how astronauts can make there way to space. Precision is a must! What a great day! Off to bed as we pack for a vacation on our vacation...Gatlinburg, Tennessee (borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park), here we ...
