We will be getting up early, dotting our T's and crossing our I's, in preparation for the long haul. Our flight leaves at around noon and is approximately 14 hours long and 6437 miles on American Airlines Flight AA 0061. We are riding in style in what I like to call "Cattle Coach".
Valium anyone?
As those close to me have realized, the days are now ticking by quicker and quicker. This hopefully epic chapter of my life will being to unfold February 15 when I say "Goodbye" to the U.S. and "Hello" (maybe "Oh, my!") to Korea.
Sleeping has been difficult this past week or so and I imagine the next ten days will be even more so. Thoug...
HOWDY YÁLL!
spent two nights in Dallas, two nights in Austin and two nights in San Antonio. Hung in downtown Dallas exploring the city, it's parks and attractions. We visited the sight where JFK was shot on the street during a rally and the sixth floor museum. A museum at the sixth floor of the building where he was shot from. That nig...
Drove through the 'Flint Hills' of Kansas. Before this morning neither of us knew they existed. We agreed that they would be more interesting if they were dressed in spring green!

After traveling more than 600 miles, Don began to bemoan the fact that I had not yet taken any pictures. Less than fi...
After work on Wednesday, we drove over to Venus, TX to spend the night with Kelsey's Aunt Diana and Uncle Buzz.
First thing to know about Aunt Diana is that she's a phenomenal cook. She invited her entire local family over for dinner, and to meet us in the process. She prepared potroast, which is Kelsey's absolutely favorite meal (it wa...

On our way out of Irving, en route to Stamford, we visited Putt Putt Fun Center. We found coupons in the hotel lobby and discovered that it would be right along our route. Perfect! We had some time to kill, so we mad...
Today was a good day, so this blog post will be fairly short.
We woke up in the hotel at the decent hour of 8am. Finally, a day to not have to get up at the ********* of dawn to make it to the airport. A quick shower, and we packed our bags for the last time this trip. There was a great Starbucks at the hotel, and we enjoyed big cups o...
The trip started with an early morning flight from Dallas to Los Angeles, where we connected to Tokyo. Not a lot of morning people in this family, so the excitement was subdued to say the least. DFW-LAX was an easy flight, but LAX-NRT was quite brutal. I'd never flown international coach class before, and I'm not sure I want to do it again anyti...
Dallas, Texas, United States jimmymac4We managed to get a little bit of shut-eye on the flight from New York, and although it was nowhere near enough to catch up on the sleep we'd missed, we felt refreshed enough to get through the day. We were met at the DFW airport by Richard's parents and little cousin Jillian, and after loading our bags in the car we headed to Chipotle for some ...
Dallas, Texas, United States sunflower85-87So I have my new laptop and it was absolutlely worth the wait!! The weekend was interesting. Dallas was a bit of a disapointment. Not really all that much to see. I was never to interested in the whole JFK thing. To be honest I had no idea even that he was assisinated in Dallas. However, it was worth visiting this landmark. I learnt a bit about ...
