Planning to attack the next morning a bit earlier we were in bed by 10 but not before a last trip to Deanie's for a ridiculous Bloody Mary complete with massive googly eyed prawn and a 'dessert' for me.

When we had left the hotel earlier in the evening the doorman said "good luck out there" which I think pretty much sums up the craziness of Bourbon Street and this was only a Monday.

We had a fairly hellish journey from Nashville to New Orleans, arriving at 5.30 am after a night bus with oh so many changes. I suspect that we did not see the best of Alabama sitting in the bus stations of Montgomery, Mobile and Birmingham in the middle of the night.
