    We took the kids to one of the few operational drive in theaters left in the U.S.

    Not as awesome as I remember but still fun. The picture was dim and the bugs were plentiful. The weather was perfect though. We didn't have a lot of options so we watched San Andreas.

    I was taken against my will by my posse. We packed up the house and took off for parts unknown. We drove and drove for hours and only got out once in a smelly truck stop, where I was again called upon to defend the woman of our pack. She always wants to walk around all those big smelly trucks to find a postage size piece of grass where 400 other animals have pee'd and she expects me to go there? At least it's sunny and dry here, I'm sick of all that rain and thunder back ...

    ... towns dotting the road as well. It was pretty windy all day but luckily, it was mostly a tail wind.

    We finally made it to the I-20 and headed east. We stopped at a truck stop to feed Harley and eat dinner ourselves. After a short stop, we hit the road for the last hour of travel to Abilene. We passed a few off-ramps with interesting names. First was Stink Creek Road and a few miles later, Noodle Dome Road. I don't know who names ...

    We transitioned to a campground near Abilene today.

    After we got set up we met Kay, her daughter, Alicia, and Alicia's kids for a late lunch at Abuelo's. We had eaten there last year and loved their enchiladas - especially their spinach and avocado enchiladas.
