Today we travelled from Penticton- which is very pretty and part of the desert on the Okanagan region which survives on the lake that was left from a Glacier ( long time ago!!) they only get 23.4mm per year!!!! We travelled with the Jelley Family for some adventures. Saw Bow lake and then onwards to Glacier walk and Skywalk in the Columbia Icefield. We then travelled down to Penticton, this was a big day of driving. We saw black bear on side of road eating grass so we backed up to take some pictures. We then can across Lake Okanagan which starts at Vernon and goes all the way to Penticton amazing and soooo pretty! Saw fireworks on the way because it was Canada ...
... the food seems to be all of the Canadian "bar and grill" fare with not much variety. Our favourite was the Woods which was a little nicer inside and a nice menu.
It also caters well for advanced riders the trees here are super fun, spaced out and after only a few cms its rides really fun.
We ended up going to Big White 4 days in total and only once did we get to see the mountain in its entirely as it was covered in cloud most of the time, hence the name ...
... chicken is the cheapest, Margaret but mainly Simon have cooked chicken for us, in so many different ways over the last couple of weeks. I don't think any of them will want chicken for a while now, but at least no one starved, they are just growing feathers.
