... for poor visibility we were ducking in and out of the channel to avoid Navy traffic.

During the trip down anything that wasn't fastened down below ended up on the floor in the salon. Left Annapolis at 2 Monday and arrived at Top Rack Marina at about 2 this afternoon. Rewarded ourselves with a great dinner out at the Amber Lantern Restaurant. Early to bed. Up at 5:30 tomorrow to get underway at first light.

... flew that morning, for sure but the afternoon plan was to head to a conservation area for a hike. Powhatan State Forest was our destination and David, Beth and I walked for a couple hours through a beautiful green forest of oaks and maples with a thick coating of leaves on the ground. ... and suddenly my purse appeared! It was a miracle! I was overwhelmed with joy! And of course bought Dipan dinner to return the favor.

After yummy Outback, we hung out by the river for awhile watching the sunset and Joel taught me a little about the boats (He works in the shipyard). We talked for awhile but when it got dark we had to head home :/ Me and joe said our goodbyes and road tripped back up north.

I can't wait to see all everybody again in Dec!

... We changed plans and visited a tiny inhabited island called Tangier. It was a 1 hour 15 min boat trip to an island almost back in time. Golf carts are its main transport and we took a little tour on one. It’s a fascinating place and fortunately enough tourists are interested in it to keep it going as the fishing, it’s main source of income, is in decline. The young don’t stay, as there is no way for them to make a living. ...
