      Started the day on a tour of Carter Cave. There were enough bats flying around that we started calling Clay 'Robin'. The tour ended with seeing a waterfall in the cave. Very Cool. Next stop was Fort Boonesborough. This is the town founded by Daniel Boone. We got to see what life was like for the Kentucky pioneers in 1775. We saw a weaver, a carpenter, and a blacksmith. We also got to watch as they made charcoal. You simply start a fire, then cover it with dirt and ...

      ... Schwinn back wheel. (Note: This is not the wheel I started the tour with, but that's another story I will tell after I get home.)

      ... and other animals that they take care of. All of these animals were brought to the center because they were injured or sick and could not live in the wild. The local art fair was amazing. It was far bigger than we thought it would be with unusual art work.

      ... While in the actual cave I was treated to a song by a man who wrote it due to his father's death. Well sung with lyrics appropriate for a riverside setting, it was quite touching. Tomorrow we turn northeast to follow the Ohio River valley for awhile. Should be interesting and also avoids some areas of Kentucky with reports of difficult riding " like Missouri onlyba lot more dogs". Poor connectivity here so I will have to send pictures separately ...
