Yosemite to Las Vegas was our first big drive day with about 8 hours of driving to do in total, so we had an early start to get the miles rolling. We had a good run up until the California/Nevada border where we joined the back of what turned out to be a 16 mile/2 hour tale back – just how Marie wanted to spend her birthday! We woke up at 7am this morning to start our walk before heading to Las Vegas. We did the Mosaic Canyon 4 mile path which was very nice as it twisted around the canyon and involved a bit of climbing. I can see why people get addicted but not enough for me to want to ...

Uncle Steve took us to the airport, with a full trailer packed to the brim with our suitcases.
We checked in and were able to get into the United Airlines lounge, where we ...

... they did so. By all acounts they had a good time at Battlefield and as they were leaving JR overheard an "English" accent. It was a "civvie" (all Battlefield staff were in US camo) chatting to a staff member. He made some wisecrack about "watch out it's a Limey trying to sell you something". The "civvie" turned out to be "Pat" (JR thinks that's his name) one of the owners and a Brit!. The wisecrack got all 3 of them invited into ...
