    We say goodbye to Ohio, acres of cornfields ready for harvest and beautiful farmland with silos and white farmhouses.

    ... Still trying to understand the distinction. Went to the Circuit Court House. Does State law - crime and civil. Hosted by a lovely Judge. Watched a few civil motions (preliminary style hearings). One advocate wore a BOW TIE. WTF.

    Then had a private tour of the court. Far nicer than our courts...

    Then we had a lovely lunch hosted by the South Bend Inn.

    ... for being the best Inn. The American Inns are very different. Firstly, they don't have barristers as a profession, so the compulsory dining and call to the Bar doesn't happen. Secondly, they have HUNDREDS of Inns. Named after people. They don't have halls, its basically a society of lawyers and they have meetings in hotels. It will be interesting to compare my experience of my Inn to South Bend Inn tomorrow.

    ... Learning. John studied the actual Irish language, LITERALLY, at Harvard and is now almost completed a dissertation that involves things like more language and Yeats and stuff like that.
