When we departed the campground in Wisconsin, we had no idea we would end up in a campground in another town called New Lisbon, this time in eastern Indiana on the Ohio border.
518 miles and 11 hours later we pulled off the interstate around 6 PM into a forested campground amidst thunderstorms and rain. The owner met us at the ...
... Road, Richmond, IN.
This is the same KOA as last time, so there really isn't much new to say about the campground. There are more people here than last time.
Tonight we had Grandma's cheese and bean quesadillas for supper and they were delicious. Tomorrow should be a shorter ride because were headed to Cambridge, Ohio.
See you all soon!
Our way to Indiana was relatively quick and simple. We left from Washington, PA and headed to Wheeling, West Virginia. There we crossed the Ohio River into Ohio. We drove down I-70 through Ohio, going around Colombus and Dayton. We had left about 10 a.m. and arrived around 5 p.m.
... t have a sponsor, Al, our bill poster, left free kids tickets around the town to encourage folks to come out to the show. There’s a tiny circus coming to Eaton in 11 days that had their free tickets out too…I’m just glad we were here first! We’re tucked away a bit from town so we didn’t get a lot of folks driving by and deciding to stop, but the people who did come enjoyed themselves and many told me they hope we’ll be back next year.
... for a gift to compensate us for the lack of entertainment - we took the 7000 miles option :-)
Arrived in Zurich in gorgeous weather - last hour flying over the beautiful countryside in bright sunlight. Spent a couple of hours in the BEST airline lounge ever (+Swiss) and then took the flight to Zagreb over the Alps - GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS in the BRILLIANT SUNSHINE.
