Just a bed to sleep for the night and then got an early start in the morning so we could make it all the way back to the Island...which we did.
Don't think they'll let me return 'cause I left the bath tub running and it flooded onto the floor. Must say the hotel has great water pressure and volume.
Arrived at Ashland just after lunchtime.
First task of the day was to find somewhere to stay - our preferred place The Peerless Hotel had two slight issues - one they had a wedding taking place which meant limited options to stay and two - they didn't take small children - so that ruled them out. Triply compounded by the fact that their restaurant was closed on Sunday nights..
Whilst we sat in the cool multi-storey car park we rang round a few ...
... paper thin - so we were woken up by the kids above screaming and running around at 5am, the breakfast room was so small there wasn't any room (nor any food left) and the room had a funny smell (and it wasn't me or Francesca's feet this time!)
Julie dutifully complained and got a nice discount on the room rate ...
