... He and I struck up a conversation for a while and I heard some great history of the railroad. On the way back home we went by a bank and we were talking to one of the tellers about Pine Bluff and surrounding area. I was asking her what residents did in the area for a living. She explained that if we were looking for something to do in the area, we needed to find a rocking chair and remote control to stay entertained... ...

Days 9 & 10- Little Rock and Home

Our last stop was with Lauren and Eric, Luke and John William in Little Rock, Arkansas. The boys had a blast swimming and the girls had some great cuzzie time too. Eric even had a break from call and was able to eat dinner with us. We woke up the next morning and headed all the way into New Iberia. The family was waiting for us with a warm welcome. We all agreed 10 days and about 3000 miles across the country was surprisingly fun! And God blessed us with a safe trek ...

... phenomenal restaurant in Little Rock called The Pantry. European-inspired cuisine with a touch of the south. I had braised beef shoulder, Mara had Hungarian goulash. It was truly a great establishment.

... We didn’t stop in any one location for too long today which got us to the campground by 3:30. It was suppose to be cooler here (which I guess it is at 36 degrees Celsius) but it feels a lot hotter with the humidity. Thank goodness the kids were able to hit the pool!

... at times, loving each other, laughing, creating private jokes ("acting. genius. Thank you.") and thrills. I am so thankful we are able and blessed to have these opportunities with my family. This is what I have hoped for my family my whole life. I can't wait to continue our journey this week and throughout the rest of the 50 states.

Tomorrow we are off to memphis to see The KING.
