    The Azbells awoke Saturday to clouds and persistent rain showers, so we decided to postpone our trip to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello estate and take Laura to the Richmond Children's Museum, instead. As Laura walked in the rain with her jacket and umbrella throughout the day, she would intermittently say aloud, "Rain rain, go away!" We agreed with her.

Still, roadnow.com confirmed that traffic was stopped southbound where the computer voice said it was, and nearly two hours later (as we were crossing into Tennessee,75 miles past the accident), it confirmed that traffic was finally moving at 5-10 mph. 45 minutes is less than the minimum 3 hours it would have taken us to get that far had we stayed on 81.

    ... stood at her counter for what felt like an hour...not to mention the plane I'm supposed to board is leaving shortly and likely to now miss my window of opportunity. Finally, after mentally pulling all my teeth and hair out waiting for any kind of response, she tells us to go back to Delta so they can finalize the plan.
