From Gettysburg to Richmond on a Civil War Day. Peter is an avid reader of Civil War history and his interest has rubbed of on all of us. On to Sharpsburg/Antietam Creek Battlefield. We visited the sunken road and Burnside's Bridge. A very peaceful, much more contained area than Gettysburg and yet the more casualties were suffered here in one day than any other military day with some 23,000 ...

As we depart Delaware we continue our trek south towards the suburbs of Richmond VA where our next stopover is scheduled. Robin and Phillip (Casey's sister and husband) have graciously opened their home and are giving us respite for the week. This visit to Richmond also gives us a much anticipated chance to see J.J. We have really missed him and Casey was truly ecstatic. She's missed having the opportunity to do what mothers do best - Nag! ;o).
