From the cool to the clammy
An early start - up at 5:00 - apologies to my host, Vic. It was a good week in Winnipeg and I am grateful for the opportunity of seeing the city and meeting some of its people - and watching 8 films in a week - all reviewed here.

The Edge of the World
We just checked into the Holiday Inn in downtown San Francisco. Parking sure is expensive ($38/day)! We spent about 9 hours driving on the PCH today on our way to San Francisco. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Room good with helpful facilities. Lots of local shops and places to eat - easy to get onto 110 and 405, 20 minutes from Manhattan and Rodondo Beaches.
Would happily stay there again - great value-for-money.
