    On the road again!!

A travel blog entry by coronafamily on Jun 21, 2015

We're hitting the road again today. We will be heading towards New Orleans to see the sights. Eboney has read a few books that mention the Lafayette cemetery so that will be one of the sights. Although we are driving, this is going to be a great Father's Day. I couldn't ask for anything more. This trip, and being with my family make it all worth it. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there including my own Jack, Jodi's dad Al, and stepfather ...

Bart's day was a bit busier than mine. Diesel Don arrived bright and early as predicted and they both went to work ...

... for it when she told me.

We got up fairly early and ate a leisurely breakfast before tackling Nickajack. The weather was excellent after the fog burned off and when the sun came out it was very pleasant indeed. We were just around the corner from Nickajack Dam so we were into the chamber almost immediately. The lock master was very young, social and pleasant, spending a good deal of time admiring our boat and asking ...

... had bought out an old book store. She said she only brought one box out for today's sale because there were spiders in the attic and she was afraid to get the other boxes. I kept thinking, so close and yet so far! I tried to encourage her to get the other boxes but she said she couldn't until she had spider-bombed the place because the spiders were brown recluses and "spiders kill."

It was hot and humid today as we continued ...
