5:14 pm welcome to the south! We were supposed to be in Raleigh by 2 pm....the rain caused a bunch of accidents on I-95 and the going has been slooooooooow (that's a lot of dr Laura). We have been on the road for about a month by this point and we have settled into a pretty good rhythm with camper living whilst keeping a pretty fast pace. We have done about 3000 miles so far with maybe 9 or 10 thousand to go over the next four months . Our routine is often spending 2 or 3 nights per week in an RV park or state park, 2 or 3 in a Walmart, and one or two random eg. carpark, country roads etc. in short it would be nice ...
My original plan for today, was the 2 battlefields I did yesterday, so I decided to make use of the free day by doing something unplanned. That said, I was aware of the park at Pamplin nr Petersburg and thought I'd head their first.
Nice drive of about 75miles through Virginia on I95 and arrived just before 9 when the park opens.
