... the fireflies. I had only seen fireflies once before when working for the corporate life and in midwest one late July so it was a real treat to watch these little critters. Kinda like watching for falling stars except near ground level. We didn't have gobs of them but as we walked around every few seconds, we saw a flash. Truly an amazing experience for first timers and gave us a sense of wonder.
Scheduled for departure on 8/8/14 and this time we're off to Prague to begin our first visit to the more eastern reaches of Europe.
Hopefully, I'll have a little more time to share our explorations with you here. For now, it's time to dive into packing!
... that I am only allowed to work for the Uni (which isn't a problem). So why do I want a SSN? Well I have my money in a bank here and I am not allowed to have a debit/credit card associated with that account without a SSN (or an ITIN). So I have to get organised and go into the bank to withdraw money. It is really only about convenience - no biggy really. ... facing him as a member of the city council in Plain City, OH, where he lives. It was nice to get away from talk about airplanes after a few days at Oshkosh. While we talked, Alex soaked up various baseball games since we'd gone to dinner in a sports bar.
Back at Bob's house, we ran a quick load of laundry before going to bed. As I drifted off to sleep, I heard heavy rain and just hoped that it wasn't a major storm - I was right.
... road, dotted line (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 – eyes cross again), trucks (oh geeeeez, more road kill), (look up) clouds. I’ve been able to make out clouds in the form of a duck, an angel and Chester Cheetah (perhaps a brain pattern correlated directly to my cheesy breakfast) – surprising and yet somewhat exciting. Never know what’s going to happen next…..
